Repo! The Genetic Opera Released today 11/07/08

Repo! The Genetic Opera, will premiere in select theaters in New York, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles.The AV Club gave Sarah Brightman, who plays the Blind Mag, critical acclaim for her performance stating that “Broadway’s Sarah Brightman steals the show as a blind opera singer.”

Repo! The Genetic Opera, puts the Rocky Horror Picture show to shame as it injects a heavy dose of gore-filled Rock and Roll amidst the vibrato. Cast members include Sarah Brightman, Paul Sorvino, Paris Hilton and Bill Mosely. Repo! follows the story of a girl plagued by a rare blood disorder during a time of mass organ failure; transplantation by the GeneCo company is commonplace and, for people can afford it, is an addiction. Those who cannot keep up with the payments for shiny new installments are repossessed by any means necessary.

Blind Mag was born blind but is given the ability to see and project images from her eyes by GeneCo- her dept to the company is to sing for the Genetic Opera. Blind Mag is, unfortunately, condemned to repossession, but hey, at least Paris Hilton’s face melts off! Sarah Brightman’s Tour Under Way 11/04/2008

Sarah Brightman’s tour- the Symphony Tour- began today is Monterrey, Mexico. Brightman recently revealed that “There’s been a huge amounts of preparation and, to tell you the truth, I don’t know how it’s going to be.” Hardly a long shot, as Brightman always incorporates extravagant sets and costumes into her acts.

According to Brightman, the Symphony tour will feature holographic landscapes with scenery plucked right out of her fantasies. Sets include gardens and aquarium scenes dotted with hundreds of balloons and, of course, that ethereal presence from Brightman donned in dresses that would be the envy of Patti LaBelle herself.

Brightman’s tour will reach the US on November 12th in Dallas,TX. Sarah Brightman tickets are on sale now and the longer you wait the more likely you are to miss out on the best-selling soprano’s performance. Brightman promises to include old favorites and new tracks off her most recent release “Symphony.”
